What the rate includes
- Commercial rent-a-car insurance (an insurance excess applies, as stated in your agreement).
- 24/7 breakdown support island-wide. If a roadside repair cannot be completed quickly, an equivalent replacement vehicle is provided, subject to location and availability.
- 100 km per day. Extra kilometres are billed at the excess rate; some vehicles offer an unlimited-kilometre add-on.
- Airport pickup at Bandaranaike International Airport on request (see car rental at Colombo airport).
What is paid separately
- Fuel: return the car with the fuel level you received (full-to-full or same-level).
- Expressway tolls, parking and traffic fines.
- A refundable security deposit, returned after the return inspection.
- Optional extras: child seats, an extra driver, an unlimited-kilometre add-on where offered.
How to get the lowest price per day
Hire for two weeks or longer, because the rate per day drops with the length of the rental. Choose a hybrid sedan for long distances, since it uses less fuel. Frequently asked questions about prices
How much does it cost to rent a car in Sri Lanka?
It depends on the vehicle and the length of the hire. The table above lists the rate per day of every car in our fleet, and the rate per day is lower for longer hires (two weeks, one month, three months).
What is included in the daily rate?
Commercial rent-a-car insurance, 24/7 breakdown support and 100 km per day. Kilometres beyond the allowance are billed at the excess rate. Some vehicles offer an unlimited-kilometre add-on, priced per vehicle.
What costs extra?
Fuel (full-to-full or same-level), expressway tolls, parking and traffic fines are paid by the hirer. Child seats and extra drivers can be added on request. A refundable security deposit is taken at handover, and an insurance excess applies as stated in your agreement.
Is there a discount for a longer rental?
Yes. The longer you keep the car, the lower the rate per day: compare the 'Per day', '2 weeks', '1 month' and '3 months' columns of the car you like.
How much is a car with a driver?
A chauffeur-driven hire is quoted for your trip, because the price depends on the route, the days and what is included (fuel, tolls, the driver's costs). Send your dates and route on WhatsApp at +94 777425008 and we reply with a quote.
Are the prices in rupees or dollars?
Prices are set in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR). The dollar amounts shown are estimates at the current exchange rate.
